History of the Field of Dreams
Easton Caruthers Youth Baseball League was established in 1989. In the summer of 1991, the Raisin City Ball Park Association offered the league an abandoned softball field. After a year of hard work and dedication from many volunteers, the Field of Dreams offically began their first season in the spring of 1993. The league welcomed almost 400 children from Easton, Caruthers, and Raisin City. ECYBS formally became a nonprofit association in 2015. ECYBS operates solely for recreational purposes, with all participation being entirely voluntary.
Mission Statement
The ECYB program, using regulation competitive baseball and softball rules, teaches skills, mental and physical development, a respect for the rules of the game, and basic ideals of sportsmanship and fair play. ECYB is committed to providing our participants the very best, sports experience possible. It is our fundamental belief that every child with a desire to play baseball or softball be given that opportunity.
A Tradition of Team Spirit
Being a team means more then simply pulling the rope in the same direction. Teams are group of people who sacrifice personal interests and glory for the good and greatness of the team.
It means putting "we" ahead of "me".
This requires friendship, loyalty and cooperation.
